Hi there! My name is Lan. I’m a UX Designer based in Dallas, TX.

I came from a business background (M.S. in Supply Chain Management) and always want to have a creative and meaningful career.

• I became a freelance photographer (part-time) since 2017

• Featured as a Star Blogger on a popular Chinese Home Decor App with 8M+ users by sharing my house remodel process and tips in 2017

• Worked with designers and buyers to source fashion products between 2018 and 2019

• Created a private label brand, source from oversea suppliers and sell my products on Amazon from 2019

I build solid research skills in my previous role as a Commodity Buyer and Amazon FBA Seller.

As a Sourcing Specialist in JCPenney, I understand the importance of empathy and communicating with multiple stakeholders to achieve a shared goal.

Spending the past 5 years communicating with different customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders prepared me with great problem-solving skills.

With my passion for the visual arts, my interest in problem solving and my need to understand people it felt so natural to pursue a career change into UX. My goal is to create meaningful, human-centered design that will have a positive impact on people around me and our world. 

I started to learn sketches in my spare time few years ago. It makes me feel really relaxed.
